Early discovery of pulmonary fibrosis (PF) makes all the difference

For most of us, breathing isn’t something we normally have to think about, but when it has to become our focus, it can feel like everything else fades away. Watch the video below to see how we have taken a deep dive into pulmonary fibrosis.

Pulmonary fibrosis (PF) is when healthy lung tissue turns into scar tissue, making it harder for oxygen to transfer into the bloodstream. This causes symptoms such as breathlessness, which can have a significant impact on someone’s life.

When the water is too warm, corals will expel the algae living in their tissues causing the coral to turn completely white – this is known as ‘bleaching’. Much like coral bleaching, it is currently impossible to reverse this scarring, which can happen over time or very suddenly. However, pulmonary fibrosis can be managed effectively if caught early. This is why it is important to monitor symptoms, track any changes and update your doctors if you do see any changes in symptoms.
