More Health: Overview

Working at the intersection of human and animal health, we have unique opportunities to positively impact vulnerable populations. With MORE HEALTH we are increasing our contribution to a healthier future for humans, animals and the environment by continuing to invest in innovation that will find solutions for unmet health needs, enable sustainable access to healthcare and contribute to food security and safety.

MORE HEALTH renews Boehringer Ingelheim’s drive for collaboration that positively impact the lives of people in vulnerable communities and is looking first at economic development through health. Through different initiatives within the MORE HEALTH pillar, we offer better education on diseases, disease prevention and health management, and we pioneer new therapeutic options, healthcare processes and models to address current and emerging unmet health needs. Emphasizing availability and accessibility of health solutions across the world will ensure that our efforts generate impact. As such, the More Health pillar not only contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goals of Good Health and Well-Being (Goal 3), Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure (Goal 9) and Partnerships (Goal 17), but has also a spill-over effect into numerous other goals such as ‘No Poverty’, ‘Zero Hunger’, ‘Reduced Inequalities’ and ‘Partnerships for the Goals’.”

In particular, we focus on the following four areas:

Access to healthcare

Everyone deserves to receive access to healthcare, which is why we are committed to expanding our reach and support to 50 million vulnerable people globally. We are building on existing initiatives, to help improve human health and animal welfare which have been active and successful for more than a decade.
